Surgery appointment times are usually between 08:00 and 11:30 and 14:00 and 18:00 each weekday, and a limited number of pre-booked only appointments between 18:00 and 20:00. 

Staff and Doctor Training Half Days (afternoon of the third Thursday in every month)

We have joined all other practices in County Durham in taking part in essential collective training sessions for one half day per month. This is normally the afternoon of every third Thursday of the month. During these periods, the surgery will be CLOSED from 12 noon to 6pm, and urgent cases will be dealt with via 111. Since the staff also receive training at these times, there will be no routine telephone lines open either. There will be a telephone message asking callers to dial 111 for problems which cannot wait, or to call the surgery back the following day for routine matters. Thank you for your understanding over this educational session, we are complying with the best practice guidelines on updating GPs and Staff, and have adopted the Durham CCG standard practice.
